Numerical Simulation of Ground Subsidence Response Conditional on Geothermal Exploitation in a Karst Reservoir Area of North China

Carbonate karst geothermal resources are widely distributed and have large reserves in North China. Currently, the scale of exploitation utilization carbonate is gradually increasing. In this work, a area where reservoirs exploited on selected as study area, methods including experiment numerical simulation used to exploitation-induced ground subsidence problems based long-term water level monitoring data reservoir. Through analyses caused by changes reservoir, following conclusions were obtained. The drawdown different types had effects subsidence. maximum decline Jxw reservoir was only 0.29 mm/a from 1983 2019, which generally insignificant. contrast, same change Nm sandstone predicted cause 8.9 To slow down or even prevent subsidence, balanced production reinjection required. From result it can be concluded that current large-scale will not serious
